How To Keep Wedding Rings Together?

Having an engagement and wedding ring set solidifies the promise and milestones that I’ve experienced with my husband. It also symbolizes the lifelong commitment to stand by each other throughout this lifetime.

The problem is keeping the rings together. I take my rings off a lot for work, cooking, and before bed. Sometimes, one falls on the floor or gets lost in my purse. Then I have to go on a scavenger hunt to find it.

Or, it’s the irritating struggle with the wedding ring painfully spinning. Who would have thought marriage is like this?

No need to fear. I’ve found some permanent and semi-permanent solutions on how to keep wedding rings together.

Soldering

The first solution on how to keep your wedding rings together is soldering. Soldering is the process of welding the two rings together by adding a filler metal in between them.

It is a permanent solution that doesn’t change the look and feel of the rings or damage them in any way.

Why Soldering Isn’t The Best Solution

Soldering isn’t always the best solution to keeping the wedding rings together because you can’t just wear the band. Instead, you have to wear the big diamond as well.

Another possible issue for soldering is it can make the fit of both rings tighter. This doesn’t happen to everyone. However, it is my recommendation that you consult with a jeweler first. Don’t let your jack of all trades husband do it.

I opted not to solder because there are days when I only wear my wedding band. I didn’t want to risk adding the filler metal and have to deal with getting them fitted again because sometimes my fingers swell.

Other Options

Here are four ways on how to keep your wedding rings together.

Tape

Tape was my first attempt to stop my diamond ring from spinning. It was the quickest thing I could get my hands on in the house. The tape lasted for a month before it started getting sticky and nasty. Tape is the free option of the bunch if you already have some.

Invisible Ring Adjuster

The invisible ring adjuster was my second and final attempt. Thering adjuster I have is flexible and easily fits around both rings to hold them together even when I take them off. It’s clear, so it’s not easily noticeable.

My rings fit better, and they don’t spin anymore. If I notice the fit is getting loose or tight, I simply adjust the ring adjuster.

Ring Snuggie

Thering snuggie is a plastic clamp that hooks onto the bottom of the ring to stop it from spinning. I like that the snuggie comes in an assortment of different sizes. It’s also clear and can fit around both rings. The snuggie is affordable and is under $10.

Plastic Ring Noodle

Thering noodle is a plastic spiral that wraps around both rings to hold them together. It comes off easily as well. Priced under $10, it is an excellent choice for protecting your bands from scratches. It also comes in different sizes to help you find the perfect fit.
