How Much Does a Wedding in Aruba Cost?

Marriage ceremony cost in Aruba is $200, and the fee includes a wedding certificate.

Legal Requirements for Getting Married in Aruba

When applying for a marriage license, you will need to provide the following documents:

  • Valid passport, and a copy of the passport.
  • A Certificate of No Impediment (CNI) is required no older than 6 months.
  • Long Form Birth Certificate, with parents’ names.
  • If you have already been married, provide the relevant documentation to demonstrate that you are either divorced or widowed.
  • Name change document – generally all names on all documents need to match (including your parents’ names), otherwise proof of name change needs to be shown.
  • The Aruba Declaration of Marriage Intent Form.
  • The Aruba Declaration Single Status.

Other legal requirements are:

  • To apply for a marriage license, one must be at least 21 years old.
  • Two witnesses are needed, no younger than 18.
  • All documents must be faxed or emailed for review and then sent by mail or courier at least 30 days before the desired date for the wedding.
  • Before making any wedding or travel preparations, make sure you have all the paperwork needed for your marriage to be recognized in your home country by checking with the local county clerk or marriage official where you intend to marry.
  • What you need to have in your possession before leaving the country is a legal document that can confirm that your marriage is legitimate and has been registered – the marriage certificate.

It is important to note that bathing suits, shorts, cut-offs and slippers are not allowed at the civil ceremony.

All civil weddings are held in Oranjestad Town Hall.

The couple will receive the Certified Marriage Certificate with an apostille within 12 weeks from the date of the ceremony.

What Is The Weather Like in Aruba?

The ideal time to visit Aruba is between mid-February and May, which is the driest time of year and outside of the hurricane season. The trade winds do make the heat more tolerable, but weather from May through October is hot and humid.
