A marriage license cost in Fiji is $9 (FJ $20.00).

Legal Requirements for Getting Married in Fiji
When applying for a marriage license, you will need to provide the following documents:
- Valid passport.
- Birth certificate.
- Provide the relevant documentation if one or both partners are divorced or widowed, and legal translation of the certificate.
- Statutory Declaration signed by a Justice of Peace or Notary Public or Solicitor to prove that the persons are not married [this declaration both applies to first or the second marriage.
Other legal requirements are:
- If the bride or groom is under 21 then a written consent from parents or guardian is required.
- According to the law, at least 2 witnesses are needed who are at least 21 years old.
- There is no restriction for foreign people marrying in Fiji, provided that they are in the country legally and get the proper marriage license.
- A marriage license in Fiji is valid for 21 days from the date of issue.
- All international paperwork has to be translated into English by a certified translator. It is mandatory that they be authenticated with an Apostille stamp from your home country first.
