How Much Does a Wedding in Grenada Cost?

The marriage license and registration fee is $44.00, and the process usually takes 2-3 business days. The express marriage license cost is $209.00.

Legal Requirements for Getting Married in Grenada

You can submit an application for a marriage license in person at the Prime Minister’s Office. At this time you are also required to pay the associated stamp duty and license fees.

When applying for a marriage license, you will need to provide the following documents:

  • Valid passport.
  • Original birth certificate.
  • If you have already been married, provide the relevant documentation to demonstrate that you are either divorced or widowed.
  • Name change document – generally all names on all documents need to match (including your parents’ names), otherwise proof of name change needs to be shown.
  • Sworn Affidavit, attesting that neither party has not been previously married.
  • If under 21 years, written parental consent by way of an Affidavit from a Lawyer or Notary Public.

All original state-issued and/or court-certified papers with raised/embossed seals and stamps as well as the judge or court clerk’s original ink signature must be submitted personally by the couple.

  • All international paperwork has to be translated into English by an official translator. It is mandatory that they be authenticated with an Apostille stamp from your home country first.
