What Is The Weather Like in Seychelles?
The driest and sunniest months in the Seychelles are from June through August. During this time, however, there is a possibility that the wind will be moderate, which will cause the sea to be rough. Therefore, the beaches that are exposed to the north-west at this time (like Beau Vallon Beach in Mahé) will be best.
March through May have the highest average temperatures of the year, and during this time there is also a bigger chance of intense downpours, but more so of cyclones, which, however, have a minimal impact on the most significant islands in the north.
There might be heavy showers in October as well, but this month at least falls outside the cyclone season. December and January are the worst since they are the months with the highest average temperatures, the highest average rainfall, and the lowest average sunshine, despite the fact that the sun still shines for a few hours each day.
What should you pack for your trip?
In the winter (June – August), pack light clothing, a light sweatshirt for the evening, a scarf for the wind, a light raincoat, and a sweater for those who are cold-sensitive. Also pack your swimsuit and water shoes or rubber-soled shoes.
In the summer months (December – February), pack clothing that is suitable for the tropics and has a loose fit, a light sweatshirt for the evening, and a light raincoat or umbrella.
